bruh, what is your argument outside of arguing for the sake of it?
If people want to serve this country and meet the requirements, how they identity based on gender should have no bearing.

You're using the same argument they made regarding blacks, then Gays, then women in the military.un surprisingly, it hasn't shown to have less to do with combat and more to do with "feels."

Spare me the Juelzing since this argument appears to be more "just talk" from Trump.

so you don't even know my argument or you are clearly just being obtuse.

I don't care if you are gay or lesbian. do what you want

I don't care if you are a transgender person, however, being in the military is no place to "transition"

OK, so do you agree that trans should not be allowed to serve (i.e. Trump's position)?

Or just that they should not be allowed to have trans operations/therapy paid for by the military?

The long term impact of this is that people will begin to have greater empathy for trans people. This singles them out as a persecuted group whose rights must be defended.

I don't have problems with trans ppl serving. I've served with one before. meh.

to me it's not about the money, there are a lot more variables in to transitioning than just who pays for it.

the time away from training, the time away from deploying, the therapy, the medication, the stress it puts on the unit, fellow soldiers. the fact that this person is unable to be used for a lengthy amount of time. and not to mention all the stress and pressure it puts on that person.

also, now the other troops have something new to deal with. is that person gonna be in the right frame of mind after the surgery? after all the hormones and medication?

would it be unfair for the military to ask someone that got their surgery and treatment paid for to have them extend their contract for another 5 years or so?

I don't agree with banning people from the military just don't pay for their surgeries. That should be for soldiers wounded.

This is the entire point. Pink is trying to obfuscate what Trump actually said in order to make his words seem more reasonable.

No shyt if you just had a major surgery, you probably won't be capable of doing the jobs the military requires, and you probably shouldn't be enlisting any time soon. That is in no way exclusive to genital reassignment surgery.

But some trans will choose to never have such a procedure, or had one years ago and now live an otherwise productive life. THIS is why people are resistant towards what seems as a broad ban from Trump. Not just anger for the sake of anger / arguing for the sake of argument.

Somewhere in between :gucci::dahell: And :russ::mjlol:
“I know there are questions about yesterday's announcement on the transgender policy by the President,” Dunford wrote in the internal communication, a copy of which was provided to POLITICO. “There will be no modifications to the current policy until the President's direction has been received by the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary has issued implementation guidance.”
