I care. People should care. I don't buy your political distrust shtick, either. It seems like you're selectively applying it to run interference. Your attempt to downplay the Jan. 6 insurrection kind of gave that away. I mean, sure, we live in a time where corruption runs deep, but pretending *all* politicians are the same doesn't mean we just ignore actions when they directly threaten democracy.

You can't just shrug off an attempted coup because you're cynical about politics. They were trying to overturn an election. We all watched them storm the Capitol. We all witnessed Trump's coordinated efforts to subvert a democratic election. We remember the fake electors scheme, the claims about illegitimate votes in Black-majority cities, the lies about rigged voting machines, and so on. You can't act like it's all the same when they were actively trying to dismantle the system for their own benefit.
