who cares? i couldnt even find syria on a map, and neither can 80% of the rest of this country. and the reason is that it doesn't affect us

Americans not being able to find countries on a map is an issue of lack of education. Not because you care.

i dont give a fukk what the reason is, when america spends 250 million dollars a day on the war on terror. trump could pull the troops out because he flipped a coin

Every time we go on one of these misadventures, not do we go in the wrong way :dame: but pull out badly as well:dame:. Then cause yet a new problem for ourselves that bites us in the ass :dame:, directly. That we then have to go back and attempt to poorly clean up.

I don't care about us leaving. But the manner in which we leave always makes things worse, not better.

My only real issue with leaving is leaving the Kurds hanging. Which it seems we've done on more than one occasion.
Which is why Mattis just quit.

Look I am all for every troop being out of Iraq and Afghanistan. We were there too long and far too many innocent people have died for it.

But if you're going to do it, have a reason, even if the reason is "fukk foreign policy this is a move to make the Dems sweat and have ammo against them" then that's at least something. But this just seems yet another in a long list of stupid ass decisions that Trump and his office and government make without putting any real forward thought into the long term ramifications of what these decisions have.

In a vacuum of course it's always a good move to pull out of an unwinnable situation, but if the alternative is worse, than why are we doing it now?

Wanting to know why we're doing it and questioning the judgement is not a bad thing. :yeshrug: It doesn't mean we don't want the troops out of there.

Trump is preparing for 2020

No matter what folks think of trump we've been doing this shyt for almost 18 years. This is a popular move with most people.
Pulling out of a long running unwinnable war and leaving the US backed ally to die for political brownie points.

Really is the Vietnam of the 21st century. :francis: (Vietnam was a mistake too don't read that wrong, I'm just making an observation)

I agree with the analogy but... This shyt has to end at sometime. Folks been saying "too early" to pull out of afganistan since Obama first came into office.

It seems never "is the right time" at this rate .

The time to do it was 2011 after the winter offensive in Sangin basically broke the Taliban for a few years but showed that you couldn't win the war as long as Pakistan continued funneling them through Waziristan.

It's overdue, it needed to happen, I just don't think the reasoning here is because it's the smart play for the US, but because it's the smart play for the GOP's political chances.:yeshrug: If it was the Dems I'd be saying the same shyt.

But it is time, and it's well PAST time in Iraq, we need to just cut the cake into three pieces, tell them to play nice or else, and GTFO.

Bro there will always be reasons why the U.S. should stay in the middle east.

Just pull out, because there are reasons not to do it now, and there will be other reasons later. There will always be reasons.

:snoop: Silly shyt

:mjlol:

I’m sorry but this shyt is beyond ridiculous. I can see disagreeing with trump on almost every thing but this has been a liberal dream for ages to get out of the Middle East. Now trump does it and he gets nothing but backlash from both sides

Guess that military industrial complex has everyone caught up :ninja1:
