This is the reverse. You don't even get hired. Too lazy to look up the article, but corporate America plays this game where they write unfillable job postings. Then, when they can't find anyone to do the job, they use that as an excuse to "HAVE TO" find someone from another country to do it. That's why entry level programmers can't find jobs. Corporate America is going to pay less money for some Indian guy with 3+ years experience to do the job for cheap. And, if he gets "uppity" you can always ship his ass back overseas. Dude at work says he has a 20 day window to find a job if he gets laid off. That's intentional. It's so short you basically can't quit without becoming illegal.

I agree with you for once, first you put the time in to develop your skills to clear 100k+ and then all of a sudden you have to deal with competition from the H1B, which will result in some wage supression for those who have 5-10 years+ experience under their belt.I can actually see this being great for suppressing wages of American workers.
