Here we go with what shyt? We're in the midst of a coup de'etat by the fascist elements in American society. Trump is the vessel with which the far right now stands on the cusp of realizing goals it's sought since passage of the Civil Rights Act. They couldn't achieve it with Reagan, the closest we've had to someone like Trump, because there were still too many Democrats and independents whose enjoyment of white privilege made them unwilling to throw their lot in with the fascists. George Herbert Walter Bush wasn't far right, and an argument could be made that his son wasn't, though the latter's exploitation of 9/11 set the groundwork for the militarization of our country into a police state that has since been infiltrated by fascists. White privilege no longer has the currency it once had, which was underscored by the election of a "black" man to the White House, which is why whites who'd otherwise never vote for a proto-fascist like Trump have come aboard his movement to Make America Great Again. Multiple members of Trump's cabinet have IGNORED subpoenas issued from the House of Representatives. The Attorney General of the United States has been held in contempt, yet he is still a free man, ignoring the House as if it were insignificant - which, as Trump has shown, it is.

This is why I laugh at people who've invested so much in the 2020 elections. They are delusional if they think Trump is leaving the White House without an insurrection.
