I think white conservatives, more so than any other group in America including illegal immigrants, are the biggest impediment to progress in this country. This is because racial resentment and social issues cause the majority of working and middle class conservative whites to vote against their interests.

Think of all the shyt that we could accomplish in this country if conservative cacs were not such a large voting group. I think these policy accomplishments would benefit the black community way more than the shytty ass jobs that are taken by illegal immigrants.

4. Provide living wages

No. I'm arguing that a more diverse voting population is more advantageous to the black community than a less diverse population.

The history of the United States should make this readily apparent.

shyt, Obama's election would not have been possible without the coalition of white liberals and minorities, minorities who voted overwhelmingly for Obama. I think the white vote for Obama was only 38%.

I contend that the only reason the U.S doesn't resemble Europe especially Scandanavia as far as policies that benefit the majority of the population is due to white racial resentment. There is a belief amongst white conservatives that progressive policies benefit undeserving minorities and so they oppose such policies.

Take Healthcare for an example, Truman pushed for universal healthcare post WW2. He was defeated by Southern politicians who did not want to desegregate their hospitals. Even though, universal healthcare would have benefited the South more than any other region.

Compare social safety nets in mostly white states compared to states with large minority populations. States with mostly white population, where race is less of a issue, have more generous social programs.

I am probably more "liberal" on immigration issues than you seem to be - but for me it's an issue of political tactics/strategy. I fully recognize that illegal immigration can and does negatively affect black employment. But I also believe that right now if we create a massive fissure between our two communities that we may end up taking one step forward but three steps back.
