You're citing criminal organizations like Shower Posse or Zoe Pound to indict millions of Black immigrants, which is no different from how white supremacists invoke gangs like the Bloods or Crips to smear all Black Americans. You wouldn't accept that logic applied to us, so why are you weaponizing it here? Just like every group, Black immigrants have both criminals and community builders, victims and perpetrators. But if your entire critique is based on a few outliers, you're arguing from the same playbook that was used to justify mass incarceration of native-born Black Americans in the 80s and 90s.

Displacement isn't caused by Black immigrants, either. It's caused by white landlords, developers, and politicians who engineer gentrification. Blaming Black immigrants is scapegoating. It lets the people actually pulling the strings off the hook. And no one's asking you to "bend the knee." People are just saying you need to be clear-eyed wrt the reality of this country, and the real enemy. Don't punch laterally at people who are also colonized, racialized, and exploited under global anti-Blackness. When you obsess over Black immigrants while barely mentioning white supremacy, you're helping the same system that built the prison-industrial complex, flooded our neighborhoods with drugs, and continues to under-educate and under-employ us.

You might think you're being "pro-Foundational Black American," but what you're really doing is helping maintain a racial hierarchy by redirecting righteous anger *away* from the actual architects of our oppression. Black Immigrants don't control housing policy, police unions, school boards, banks, or media companies. We're in a thread about the Trump administration practicing bold white nationalism in policy, and what are you doing? Deflecting.

Again, this isn't me saying we should take disrespect from anyone, or that we shouldn't stand up for ourselves when faced with anti-Black American sentiment, whether it's coming from white folks or African immigrants. I certainly don't. But I'm not going to act like Black immigrants as a group are my enemy.
