I can attest to this. I have a cousin who married a woman from Jamaica. When they put the paperwork through in August she got approved for a work visa in a month and they had their Green Card interview a couple of weeks ago and got approved. Now I see why it happened so fast.
You think it happened fast because this was coming? Or before end of fiscal year / govt shutdown?
Yup. This is a nice way to make people lose their status and juice up deportations

They got the date I want to say in October but I have to imagine these agencies have to brace themselves for the mercurial nature of this administration.
