I didn't watch it last night, but I hope Biden put in a better showing than Hillary in 2016. I remember watching one of the debates with her and Trump, and the media stated she won. I walked away from that debate thinking the opposite. She said what she was supposed to say as a robotic politician, while he said what people wanted to hear and I'm not talking white nationalist rhetoric either. I was surprised when he won the election, but not entirely based on the debates.

That said, I hope Biden did better last night than Hillary four years ago. Still, I'm not convinced there are undecided voters out there. What we've seen the past almost four years should be enough for anyone to have already decided. This debate is different from four years ago because I don't think there's anything to debate. You already know who you're voting for.

they’ve gone down, they got rid of mandatory minimums, and a lot of prisons have been closed over the last decade

I’m not saying it’s perfect but it was a huge improvement

Smh. Specifics breh specifics. Details matter here. This is why I said this requires research because the inmate population might be going down for New York but the number of black inmates for drug offenses can still be disproportionately higher compared to white inmates. In other words, the numbers can be the same for black inmates but overall low for the general population of inmates.

Do not be fooled by this press release suggesting criminal justice reform is taking place. This is some political bullshyt. More specifics and details regarding the detail of inmate population and offenses over the course of 10 years.
