:mjlol:Sounds like you've missed the last 4 years.

That said, i like the accessibility it suggest, and the idea of politicians entertaining and seriously engaging laymen:manny:
Feels more organic... even if its not
No, I haven't missed the last four years. The last four years of this clown show administration is why you all are doubling down on this being viable - - Trump said he wants to do it. :mjlol:

I will sooner listen to a Desus and Mero hosted debate that four hours of Joe Rogan moderating. Rogan will have an interesting question on the changing of drug laws and then the rest of his questions will be about aliens and maybe who killed Kennedy.

Does Rogan still indulge in white nationalist conspiracies ?

Some posters have given the impression that he's worked a lot harder to shyt on White Nationalists over the last two years but that might be their wishful thinking. He doesn't seem like someone that I'd expect to be extremely consistent.

I never understood how Hillary calling Trump supporters deplorables hurt her. His supporters wasn’t voting for her anyway. I find it hard to believe a pro Hillary voter would switch to Trump because she called out his supporters.:mjlol: The media hyped that shyt up.
I'm gonna push back slightly on this.

They ended up being wrong, but there were definitely a sizable amount of people that did not like Trump, and also thought Hillary was worse. Now, I thought Trump was objectively worse, and I had a hard time seeing how someone could not see it that way. But nevertheless, those people were out there...people that actually thought she was worse.

And there were lots of blue collar workers in the rust-belt states (especially the 4 states that had previously been the Democratic firewall) that Trump campaigned hard in. He told those people (he was lying of course) that he would be get their factory jobs back. Trump campaigned in those states while Hillary barely campaigned in any of them.

A lot of those people voted for Trump because they really were desperate enough to hope that he would attempt to "drain the swamp." It's not hard to imagine that at least some of those people were on the fence, and the then the 'basket of deplorables' comment either pushed them over the edge, or at the very least didn't do her any favors.

A lot of people in those big 4 states voted for Obama in 2008 and 2012, and then didn't vote for Hillary inn2016. I'm not saying it was just the "basket of deplorables" comment, but politics-101 dictates that you want to sell yourself to people. shytting on a group of people that could potentially have a group still willing to vote for you was not a smart move.

silly idea but :manny:
It's definitely a silly idea.

But I'll say this. I like the idea of a presidential debate that is more of am conversation between two people where they can't just hit their 30-90 second talking points, with softball questions thrown at them from paid-for corporate media stooges.

I don't think Rogan is the best platform for a debate like this, but it would be cool if there were some platform out there where we could see a presidential debate with a knowledgable moderator (or several) that take questions directly from regular people, and don't have am overly vested interest in either candidate.

Obviously I don't think this will ever happen. No candidate would ever want to do it. Still, it sounds refreshing.

They think Rogan should have the same credibility as news pundits who dont believe white genocide is going on in south africa
