The reason he won a second term is because Democrats are economically ignorant, love criminals and illegal immigration while telling people with eyes that the border was perfectly secure, and have told everyone that men can be women.
I think it's obvious that oil is a major factor if not the biggest factor with the entire Venezuela situation, but it's interesting how liberals in the U.S. are all up in arms crying, while Venezuelans are celebrating.
A lot of you would rather have China or Russia as the most powerful country, which by EVERY objective measure would be 1,000 times worse than the U.S. being the one.
Name one policy that Trump, or the GOP broadly, passed that materially improved the lives of ordinary working people rather than billionaires, shareholders, or corporations. Just one. Not rhetoric. Not culture-war posturing. Policy.
Because his public record shows the direct opposite of what you claim. The so-called "Big Beautiful Bill" was a giveaway to the ultra-wealthy and corporations. His tariff policy functions as a regressive tax increase that ordinary folks end up paying because his billionaire friends pass those costs on to us, while reaping the rewards of low corporate tax rates and deep tax cuts.
If that's your definition of "helping ordinary people," say it plainly.
The rest of your comment is just boilerplate culture wars bullshyt that ignores how Trump is a felon and a rapist. It ignores how Trump pardoned war criminals, corrupt politicians, and grifters who stole from his own supporters. Your guy is literally running a criminal enterprise out of the Oval Office. And that's before you get into him fomenting an insurrection based on a lie about a stolen election.
So again, name the policy.
Because if your entire explanation for Trump's win boils down to fear-mongering about immigrants, trans people, and criminals, while having nothing to say about wages, healthcare, housing, or labor rights, then you're not making a political argument.
You're regurgitating propaganda to cover for a party that thinks good economic policy is giving every break to the rich and gutting every social program, so they can give more to the rich.
And any system built on domination will harm people, regardless of whether it's the US, China, Russia, or anyone else. There are no good empires. Unchecked hegemony is bad for everyone.
