Somebody told me Huntsville has the most engineers per capita in the United States.
She was from Alabama though.
That's true.
People that haven't been to this area will be surprised what's going on.
Are you from the area? What do you think about it?
Lower Alabama has a stigma.
But money is there to be made. I work for L3 and we are trying to increase its presence. Everybody else has that place on lock though.
150K+ jobs are everywhere down there in all fields.
I'm from Birmingham but I do have a fed job but my job is through the corps of engineers so we have a lot of overlap with the arsenal and their energy programs. But if i didn't have a home already I'd live in Huntsville or Madison without a second thought. It's not busy and definitely growing It's outpacing Birmingham by a lot and the homes are less expensive on average. I've been considering it but can't justify it with the housing market the way it is right now but if I were to consider anywhere in Alabama it would definitely be Huntsville even if I didn’t have a fed job.
