White people are ready for this country to go from a country of implicit white supremacy to explicit white supremacy, and they believe Trump is the one to build the bridge.

Black people have been living for far too long in implicit white supremacy. That's why we have so many c00ns and wenches :cape: for Zaddy and throwing our people under the bus, thinking their intersectional allies are sincerely looking out for their interests. It's why we've been led to believe that a select number of carefully highlighted athletes, musicians and Hollywood stars reflects black progress. Call me an accelerationist, but I am all set with pretending we don't live under white supremacy. Put all the cards on the table and let's see how this plays out. :francis:

Don't get it twisted Republicans know he's an idiot; however, his deregulation, tax cuts, and appointment of conservatives justices to the Supreme Court make him their useful patsy.

They can look over the racist remarks, the infidelity to his wife, the constant lies, the lack of tact, and him basically not understanding the most simple executive powers and the order of checks and balances on those powers.

I sometimes humor myself by going into comments sections and telling his supporters that they’d happily die starving and broke just so he remained president. They all agree :picard: He’s basically a cult leader at this point.

Trump also tweeted out that the electoral college was rigged back when Obama won his second term. He was quiet as a church mouse when he won tho and suddenly it was infallible.

Based on the
expected turnout. The 2018 midterm turnout was crazy. If that’s a sign of what it’ll look like in 2020 Trump will lose, but it’s way early and a lot can change.

No one is excited about the democratic candidates though.. you are counting on pure hate of Trump to get democrats over the top, not sure if that is enough

He has to double down.

Conservative base isn't really growing. Dems could win every national election if they get the turnout. Problem is that Dems fluctuate a lot on enthusiasm.

GOP doesn't care, they just want their side to win. Dems have to really like someone to vote for him/her, which is why Hilary lost. If Hilary was a Republican, she would have won easily because the GOP would have held their nose and voted for her, even if they hate her.
