can someone give me a quick cliffsnotes version of this?

What were the 12 russians doing that made them get indicted?
Does this mean that even though they interfered, Hillary still would have lost since they didnt change votes?

Side note: I love how the mainstream media can see how Russia trying to infliuence an election is bad, but not see that Big Money in politics is even bigger

nobody gives a fukk about indicting russians who will NEVER be forced to go on trial

this is kind of a hollow victory, no? :skip:
It makes a difference between anyone who gets paid in Russia does everything they can to get their money and their families out of Russia. They want a nice villa in France and their kids in foreign schools, all the money offloaded into offshore accounts in case they ever run afoul of Putin (or whatever disaster follows Putin) and have to flee. These indictments make if far more difficult for them to step foot outside of Russia and that's a scary prospect for most of them.

But as others have said, this is really setting up the next step.

If you guys read the indictment then there's groundwork for Roger Stone possibly being indicted as a co-conspirator.

Identify Russians, then identify Americans who co-conspirated. Makes sense.
The moment Rosenstein started talking about the American who helped I figured it had to be Stone.

The last time Mueller pulled this stunt, he was caught flatfooted when Concord had their lawyers show up and answer the indictment. I think Mueller's counting on lightning not striking the same place twice. :yeshrug:

Nah, we're talking about Russian intelligence agencies hacking government and government related servers in an attempt to use that Information to tilt an election.

You seem to have an issue when America plays king maker, but you seem to be whatever here.

Interesting take for someone being reasonable, but it makes sense for someone who hates the country they live in.

You should move. :ehh:

just answer the question. i dont know what just happened so im asking for an explanation. u got one or nah?

They hacked Hillary Clinton, her campaign, and the DNC, as well as state boards of elections, secretaries of state, and voter software. Their intent was to disrupt the election and turn it in Trump's favor.

They began the hacks on the exact date that Trump openly told them to begin, and were in communication with an American who appears to be Roger Stone, Trump's longtime confidant and adviser, regarding what they found in the hacks and when and how to release it.

Nothing in the indictment states that their efforts didn't affect the election. Whether or not their efforts had an effect was not the job of the investigation to determine. But their intent was certainly to affect the election.

Yeah, that's not as bad as killing and kidnapping people. :yeshrug: I'm sure you see the uh reasonable difference.
Dissent is supposed to be what makes this country great. If you don't think so maybe you should take your own advice. :usure:

So this is strictly about the dnc hacking?
Its about the "russian phishing" scheme they ran on low-security cyber entities
What separated Clintons personal data from any other candidate was the fact her campaign chairman, Podesta's password was "p@ssword" so it was more likely to be infiltrated.
Contrary to what the DNI assessment analyzed, the indictment concluded that the Russians began to plan releasing emails before Trump was the nominee (at the time Cruz was favorited).
Those two statements alone discredits any idea of collusion between Trump/Russia to steal the election from Hillary as the initial russia assessment described.

The fact that Rosenstein himself said he briefed Trump on the indictments days ago should indicate to a working brain that Trump isnt a target in Mueller's investigation
but of course this will be repeatedly glossed over but it is what it is :manny:

Sidenote- we still dont have forensic evidence of anything
