I can't believe I have to explain this but here we go. Half the people who WERE Trumpset WERE only rooting for him because he exposes just how racist and backwards thinking the Republican party is. Also since some of the Republican party hates him to the core the hope was that he tore the party apart and they lost enough house and Senate seats that the Democrats had a chance to get some decent legislation passed. Trump is also so fukking crazy that even Hillary, with all her negatives can still beat him. Look at the posting history of Trumpset AFTER he secured the nomination, most are trashing him every day.

Bruh is it really that hard to understand? Since the NBA runs this site lets see if an NBA analogy works for you. Every year around playoff time people start looking at the seeds and seeing the potential matchups their team will have to face. In some instances you root for a team that is not your squad because if that team wins then it gives your squad a potentially easier matchup in the 1st or 2nd round of the playoffs. In this case our squad is #Hillgang we looked at all the opponents that could come from the GOP and decided Trump would be the easiest to defeat and would result in the democrats picking up the most seats in Congress, therefore we rooted for Trump in the primaries. This is not a concept that is exclusive to Coli members as a substantial portion of the American populace actually voted for Trump in states where their preferred Democratic candidate had a huge lead to ensure that 1st. Trump stayed in the race and then 2nd. made sure he won.
