Yup Morey out on him. He follows Analytics to a Tee. I don't want another Small guard. McCain is too good to be odd man out. I don't want a project which it seems Bailey will be.

I think it’s a space after Harper and to Maluach where all those teams are gonna be a little uncomfortable with who they end up with. Like 76ers don’t need Edgecombe, Kneuppel, or midget AJ Bailey. And reaching on Malauch doesn’t help this current “contending” core and he isn’t a high potential guy to me. At least not enough offensive potential to warrant him just being a giant defensive first rim runner. That’s nice but they need something more than that if this is the beginning of a tank job

I just saw someone compare VJ to Edwards (I assume because of the athleticism and defensive tools). I think that comparison works, but we just gotta see if the 6ers commit to him as a 2 or a 3. I think he works as a 2. You’ll just have to have McCain be okay with being purely bench mob status for probably the rest of his time here. I think we’d unfortunately ultimately lose him if that’s the role he’s to play, but if you think VJ can be THAT good, you’d do it every time

im with you but if you got Maxey who stepped up defensively, Grimes is 6'4 and can defend, and u bring in 6'5 athletic VJ...the writings on the wall for McCain. Morey is already on record saying he doesnt believe in a Maxey/McCain backcourt...McCain is on borrowed time in Philly i think
