I wouldn't say he was wack, but he was the fourth wheel of the group. Clearly, Juve and B.G. were the stars. Wayne was up next. Turk could've shared that "up next" with Wayne, but he was the only one of them without a solo. When he finally did drop one, it didn't really matter.

Turk dropped his album in June 2001...

That was a dead year for the CM since Juvenile and B.G left

2002 was a rebuilding year for CM since Bird decided to drop his debut album(had too many Jazze Pha tracks though).

Luckily, Cash Money rebounded l

Juvenile dropped Project English on CMR in 2001.

2002, the Big Tymers album from that year was their biggest album

Funny thing is that both I Got That Work and Hood Rich went Plat.

Birdman's first album was slept on and doesn't get talked about.

Turk was my favorite at the time....but...Juvenile sold 4 mil...BG was dropping hood classics....Wayne had the "its all about Wayne" campaign and cooked with Block is Hot...Turk dropped the ball like shyt...got himself took off Bling Bling....let Juve turn his iconic lines into a hot song....by the time Turk solo dropped, the thrill was gone...by his own admission it was his fault & the other three were better. nikkas front like Wayne was wobbledy wobbledy back then...no the fukk he wasn't

Turk is one of those rappers who can only function in a group setting.

Close thread. Anything else is nonsense.

He was supposed to deop before wayne but durgs and i think he got arrested right before they was supposed to shoot the bling bling video
And nothing was the same for him after that
He's in the Bling Bling video. He skipped the recording for the radio edit cause he was high and they put Wayne in his spot :snoop:

He got about 5 too many stories of doing shyt like that.

Wayne was the weakest in the group.

He benefited the most from the breakup though.

A lot of Turk being the weakest talk comes from revisionist history because of who lil Wayne became in the future.

Wayne was never the weakest...

Even if you listen to the earlier stuff, he was trying out alot of different flows and metaphors etc..

It might have sounded "corny", but you can tell he was actually working on his craft...

Turk had a ceiling as a rapper...

That's why stunna put all the artist development chips on Wayne cuz he had no ceilings if he got the right people around
him..

He was the weakest out of the hot boyz. He put the chips behind him because he didn’t really have a choice with the rest of them leaving and Wayne staying to continue getting robbed.

This isn’t about who Wayne became,it’s about who he was and he was the weakest out of the hot boys.

Turk was the weakest and least popular. He wasn’t wack but he didn’t have anything special. BG put cash money on his back after UNLV was gone. Juvie dropped got on “Retaliation” and Then he dropped Soulja Rags and took off. Wayne always was popular with youngsters. His solo song from the first Hot Boys album “Block Burna” was number 1 for weeks in New Orleans. Wayne could been went solo. He had a lot of stand out verses on Big Tymers “How U Luv That”. Turk never really stood out like that.

That's cap. Turk was never better than Wayne. It's a reason that on CMR's first national release Wayne appears on 9 of 18 tracks. They were pushing him long before people started leaving

Turk was the 5th best member of the group

When I was younger I rocked with Turk. Them first 2 hot boys albums he was nice. But, everyone pulled a way from him with their talent. Juvie was always better than the rest at that moment.
