Common's last great album was Like Water For Chocolate in my opinion. That was the last time both Common's rhymes were on point and the production he was rhyming over was on point.

I understood what he was trying to do with Electric Circus, but I don't think he was able to quite pull it off with Electric Circus although I respect his growth as an artist with it though.

Be was overrated to me. Aside from "It's Your World", "The Corner" and "Chi City", I wasn't feeling it.

With Finding Forever, I felt he was just riding the wave and success of Be and coasting. The only songs I thought that were good on here were "So Far To Go" ft. D'Angelo, and "Misunderstood". The rest were neither here nor there to me.

As for the Universal Mind Control album, I didn't bother checking this album out, after heard that electro lead single he had for it.

And as for The Dreamer/The Believer I wasn't feeling the production at all. Common sounded like he was just coasting throughout the album which I'm sure he was because his focus is more on acting these days than writing. Although I thought it was cool how him and Nas did link up for "Ghetto Dreams" even if it was just ok.

Im kinda positive at times. Ok ok ok that verse is trash. He on that braggin shyt cause he wit good music though. Just like talib i use to be a big fan of his up until reflection eternal 2. Thats a dude that fell the fukk off somethin terrible. Not every rapper gonna have a classic verse like lets say black thought. But i see wat ur sayin as far as common though. Not all his shyt is dope but i like most his shyt. Its not a lot of vintage true to the heart 90's rappers around cause all this bubble gum sensitive shyt that took over.
