Alright imagine this.
SPY/SPX is like a video game score. It moves up and down all day.
Now 0DTE means the “bet” expires TODAY. Like… if you don’t win today, it goes to zero. Gone.

You’re not buying SPY itself.
You’re buying a ticket that reacts FAST when SPY moves.

Example
SPY is at 670
You buy a “call ticket” that says:
“I think SPY will go UP”
That ticket might cost like $1

Now SPY goes from 670 → 672
That’s only a $2 move… sounds small right?
But your ticket?
Because it expires TODAY, it’s super sensitive.
Now people suddenly REALLY want that ticket.
So your $1 ticket → becomes $3, $4, even $5

Why this happens
Because of time pressure + speed
There’s almost no time left
So every tiny move matters A LOT
The closer SPY gets to your target, the faster price jumps
It’s like musical chairs… at the end everyone rushes at once

Why people get in and out fast
Because it can go the other way just as fast
If SPY goes:
670 → 672 → you win FAST
672 → 669 → your ticket can go to almost $0
So traders:
No holding, no hoping

this is why we scalp it
you’re not waiting for spy to go 10 points
you’re milking the 1–2 point move
in and out
take the money
don’t get greedy
because the same speed that makes you rich
will smoke you if you hesitate.
But damn, this sounds like something for someone with ADHD and time… might try it this weekend
We also swing. 2-3 months out.
But swing not ideal because of crazy orange man.
He can derail a good run by a single tweet.
He is the reason why many dont hold anything anymore.
