i don't know how it is in other states but NYS has an incredible park system
as well as National Forest preserves and National parks that are separate from the state park
system. to the credit of the park service, these places are very well maintained. i camp in them
multiple times a year and have never had a problem with wildlife.

It's funny because Black Bears rarely attack humans (Brown bears are more agressive, but they also would rather avoid humans and they won't always attack).

Bears are low key the most tameable wild animal. Bears in general don't like human flesh, it's pretty much a last option meal for bears.

If a bear is full and in their natural habitat, they RARELY ever attack humans, Black or Brown bears. They would rather watch humans from a distance. Those bears in Tennessee get hunted and killed if they hurt/kill/stalk humans. Most of those Bears will stroll right past humans without any interaction. A lot of those Bears actually get things from humans when they come into their yards (although you are specifically told not to).

We were on a mountain with like 100 different huge Air BnB rentals, they all have pools, hot tubs, 2-4 kitchens, theatre, patio porch on every floor, ect. Dude who owned the Air BnB said that in 20 years, there was only 3 bear attacks. There are hundreds of bears in that area.

Bears are very chill when they are not hungry. They are playful as hell usually.
