The girl didn't "beat the shyt" out of him in the story ,and he cheated on her more than once. He should have just broken up with her if he wanted to sleep with other people instead of begging for a second chance knowing that he would do it again.
If I cheated on someone like he did and they hit me for it, I would think that i deserved it because I shouldn't have cheated. I especially deserved it if I gave them a std.
