Trying to buy some cheap earbuds/headphones, what are some specs I should look out for?

Brehs, I'm trying to buy some cheap earbuds/headphones, what are specs I should look out for?

I ask because I recently bought some cheap $0.76 earbuds from a Chinese seller on eBay. They're HOT GARBAGE!!! All the earbuds I've ever bought from the dollar store over the years ABSOLUTELY shytS on these earbuds I bought from this Chinese eBay seller.


The audio on these earbuds sounds like the audio is being projected from my phone to the earbuds instead of the audio going from my phone through the the jack & wire into my earbuds.



What specs should I look for the next time I buy cheap earbuds/headphones brehs?

I was expecting them to be on par with earbuds from the 99 cents only stores. They weren't, they're garbage AF compared to them.

You tend to get what you pay for when it comes to cheap audio.
Don't know your financial situation or how much you listen to music, but if you listen to music as I do, it's worth it to invest in some more expensive earbuds/headphones.
I went ahead and bit the bullet.
Ended up spending more in the long run over the past several years by being cheap than I would have if I had just paid a premium price for a durable, reliable pair.

You can try the Photiv BS3 for like $50. They are bluetooth with great sound.

I used to get semi-expensive Sony earbuds (~$70), but they would always break eventually (one would stop working). now I won't pay more than $20

This. I know I can get a decent pair of name brand earbuds for less than $10, so no way I would even consider spending more than $20 for earbuds/headphones.
