How did you meet her if she's still incarcerated?
It's not a good idea because you don't have a chance to really get to know her as a person since she's locked up.
Some incarcerated people have learned their lesson and are ready to change their life for the better, but most of them still have addictions and other underlying issues that they still need to work out. Most of them are vulnerable and are not ready for a relationship or even a FWB situation as that carries an emotional connection along with it. She's also got insecurity about her criminal past that she's dealing with.
You would have to be willing to trust her even though you don't know enough about her yet, and she would need to trust you, keep in mind she is in a place where she literally can't trust anyone right now.
It might take her a long time before she's ready.
