This depends entirely on which airports you frequent. If you are only flying out of small airports like Memphis, Harrisburg or Grand Rapids then you are right, its a slightly quicker line.

But if you are going through Orlando, Atlanta, etc then that shyt can save you an hour easy.

Most of my flights out of cities are early morning so I usually don't have to wait long in line

But I usually don't have much to worry about when it comes to the line cause I just have a back pack on so I don't have to deal with multiple bags or checking a bag in for a flight, I think them letting us keep shoes on really expedited a lot of the wait.

When they eventually get to the point you just slap your bag on the turnstile and you don't have to take your jacket and belt off, those lines will be super quick
