Giving him an 8 cause he's clearly the inspiration for Stone Cold, even though Austin probably has never said this himself. Was a legit athlete, even though every one of the matches I've seen him in outside of that Battle Royal when Bret Hart tossed him were squash matches, where he'd completely obliterate his opponents and it was great every time :mjlol:

loved that simple, effective and sensible finisher too. Was the first person I've seen do the Enziguri. He was probably the first no nonsense character I can remember, especially during a time of over the top smiling faces and super cartoonish heels. Wish he had been in some video games later on, but he wasn't in the WWF long enough to resonate like that.

Gimmick was the shyt... a heel that didn't even like other heels, walked out on his team at both Survivor Series, choked Jack Tunney up, accused Elizabeth of 'doing favors', double-crossed Bret and caused his babyface turn at Mania IV, cut dope-ass promos... dude's character was great.

In-ring? Eh. Dope finisher, punches, kicks. It was fun watching him beat up on jobbers but when he had to be in a competitive one-on-one match, more often than not, he was Warrior-level limited.
