With a scale of 1-10 how would you rate CM Punk in these categories:
-Mic work/promos: 10
-Personality/gimmicks: 10
-Ring work (along with some of your favorite matches/feuds) 9.5 One the best all around wrestlers if not the best of all time (Punk vs Joe, Punk vs Cena, Punk vs Mysterio)
-Overall rating (which doesn't have to be an average of the above scores) 10
-Mic work/promos: 10
-Personality/gimmicks: 10
-Ring work (along with some of your favorite matches/feuds) 9.5 One the best all around wrestlers if not the best of all time (Punk vs Joe, Punk vs Cena, Punk vs Mysterio)

Lets take it easy
mic work - one of the few wrestlers in the wwe from this era that had this down cold...he got his point across with no problems...but yes could have show a little more variety on the mic - 9
personality/gimmick - sometimes the best gimmick stems from being yourself...this was punk to a tee and he got over big - 10
ring work - also shined in this..could deliver in big matches and had matches that made sense...i like to say that punk carried rock to what i think is his last above average match in the WWE to date..9.5
do have to take off a point off from his average score of the above 3 though because he got his ass handed to him in legit comp easily..so overall 8.5

Agreed with most of this. Would only add he was GREAT at making a feud meaningful when he was motivated enough (and had enough time) to do so.
When I think of Punk I always go back to that word, motivation. He's performances varied greatly depending on how motivated he was.
2 He never did it for me going back to his TNA days. Never seen his ROH stuff before that. That aside he just doesn't hold my interest. Matches were boring to me. I never understood the hype. I have never been a big fan of his mic work either. Not even because I hate him. I usually forward through his stuff unless I'm interested in his opponent. He always felt like he mailed it in to me.
Confuse CM Gawd with Klandy Orton, brehs.
9.5 Mic Work. That sermon he delivered during the Rumble where he was talking shyt between eliminations was 
and just a small taste of what he could do on the mic.
Personality/Gimmick ... 8.5. Played it well, made me want to see him win or lose, but sans being Straight Edge, which WAS NOT a gimmick, it was nothing particularly ground-breaking (anti-authority rebel, etc.)
Ring work: 7.5. Great psychology/story teller, but he was not the most crisp/smoothest grappler. Prone to sloppiness here or there. But in a way it worked because Punk was never really portrayed as anything outside of being a regular dude who just so happened to be good at wrestling, spoke his mind and could take an ass-whooping.
Overall I say an 8.

-Mic work/promos: 10. One of the best all-time on the mic, dude reminded me of Jake Roberts in that he didn't have to shout or raise his voice to keep you captivated
-Personality/gimmicks: 9. From arrogant ROH douchebag to Straight Edge Savior to the anti-face preacher to the disenfranchised tweener, Punk had some very memorable gimmicks
-Ring work (along with some of your favorite matches/feuds): 9. Always enjoyed his matches, and while not the best technically, had the skills and psychology to have great matches. Cena at MITB 11, Lesnar at Summerslam and his feud with Mysterio probably his best in WWE, without even touching his ROH classics
-Overall rating (which doesn't have to be an average of the above scores): 9. One of my all-time favourites but I reserve 10's for the likes of Austin, Rock, Macho and Angle. If 9.5 was an option I'd have picked that

If not for punk there was np reason to ever watch WWE ever again for me.
So, punk pretty much created a new reason to watch the WWE.
If not for pubk I would have stayed watching rohtv on DirecTV and never switched the channel.
I would have shaved a point off for physique but he was Steve corino on super saiyan juice and as good as it got as a performer regardless of size all time.
