Nah they showed him rocking the normal tights at no way out so i think that was the official return. I'm the wrong person to ask though because I was in and out at this time. Junior year of HS was so I was preoccupied. a lot

Weight thing sounds made up. By this point, it doesn't look like he's using anything. He's kinda scrawny looking compared to what he looked like in '93 and '96.
