ending the streak to an imperfect opponent wouldnt be a good look for a good portion of the fan-base/viewership. taker is mainly a draw because of the people who grew up with him and the older people who were already loyal watchers..having taker lose to a newer guy without cred could hurt ratings and also keep former viewers away for good if they heard he lost. maybe im dramatizing it a bit, but i dont see it being whats best for business.

even if they had him win the rumble and get a title shot, id put him over for the belt then have him get fukked over and lose the belt shortly after

If Taped Fist Taker is retiring and there's someone who's deserving or can be made into a big(ger) star by breaking the streak, then yeah. However, I don't see it being broken.

That Sid streak was comical, On Nitro he was 3-0 then come a couple of days lader on Thunder he would be 69-0... nikka must have been pinning random people in the parking lot and at the store or some wacky shyt.
