So. Cal
Malik Willis does nothing to propel the Dolphins forward.

Miami does not need free agency to fill a role until they can draft someone better.

If you’re going to blow it up, you blow it up.
You don’t bring in these placeholders so you can tread water…effectively sabotaging your rebuild.

If Willis wins 8 games next year, that will wreck the Dolphins draft ability to find their future QB.

And if Willis stinks, what was the point of bringing him in, when you already could have played Ewers the whole time?

This sort of half stepping is why the Pittsburgh Steelers have been in NFL purgatory for 7-8 years. Miami wants to emulate that?

Good luck
nikka u all over the place here :mjlol:

Anyways, phins dont care about random babble on the coli. Im betting they sign willis to a decent contract and see what he can do while looking for their future QB in the draft

If they win that means Willis is a good starter and they won't be pressed into drafting a QB anyway. There's no way they get to 8 wins unless he plays great.

The point of signing him is to see if he can reach his upside. It's low risk if he doesn't.

If you're going to tank you do it with a coach and GM on the hot seat. They could've traded Achane and Waddle at the deadline so the new regime has plenty of draft capital to rebuild. You don't bring in a new coach and GM and tell them to go 1-16. That sets them up to be fired if things aren't turned around by year 2-3.

You don't even need the first pick to get a franchise QB. Mahomes and Hurts have been to more Super Bowls than anyone drafted recently and didn't go first.

8 wins with a new coach, this roster, and Tua's dead money? Dream on.
