The University of Alabama is just 11% Black despite being the flagship university of a state that is 22% Black. It's been run by white conservatives pretty much its entire existence. Until recently they had confederate monuments, confederate plaques, buildings named after KKK members, all-white fraternities and sonorities that practiced Confederate-era cosplays, and they still have fans and students shouting out racist slurs in public.
