Flip wants the job. Only thing left to find out is to see if his investor group to buy the Wolves falls through, but this is option #1 .

It's funny to me people not in Minnesota have the strongest opinion about the Tubby firing.

If you watched them over the last 6 seasons you would understand why he is getting fired. A lack of progression from players he brought in, a dull offense that never underwent any adjustments, throwing players under the bus regularly, not being able to recruit and keep the best players in the state among other things. If you are basing it just off record alone, he deserves to be fired. There is no reason Minnesota can't be as successful of a program like Wisconsin. Gopher fans don't expect or "need" top 4 finishes in the Big 10 every year but they should be able to compete.

Tubby had more than a fair shot. If you want to get mad over a Minnesota franchise firing a coach unfairly, retroactively complain about the Dwayne Casey firing

Players put themselves under the bus. They gotta perform. Ain't nobody just transfered elswhere and become a star minus the nutcase Royce White and he himself is at fault for getting into trouble. Tubby didn't force him to break the law and get suspended and stuff. Trevor Mbakwe took his medicine like a man and grew up. Royce White on the other hand in the D-league bytching.
