shyt is real simple...they just got charged nearly 800 million for the DuckTales news they knowingly peddle. Having people like Tucker for his audience is a gamble. Just like Alex Jones and Sandy Hook it only takes one case where people won't let you slide or back down where they take it up to make the gamble a loss. Alex peddle lies until the major lawsuit backed him down. Tucker is the major one. He peddles straight up lies and the gamble to keep him for his audience is Shakey given that he could also eventually be a major source for a lawsuit. For example the fact that he peddled the white replacement by Black theory that radicalized the Buffalo shooter. A case could be made that fox knowingly facilitated that tragedy. Fox knows this and they are getting ahead of it. At this point his usefulness and his audience is not worth them loosing close to another billion. Money over everything when it is said and done.
It's not so much something coming to light but all the things that could if you catch my drift.. There's plenty in Tuckers programming that could lead to future lawsuits in the same vein as the one they just took an L on. So as it stands his utility is up. Straight business, never personal. Fox has not changed they just need a time out to shake the heat.
