It will be interesting to see the pivot that Fox News goes on with moving forward, and who they get to replace him.

You can't really get more Far-Right wing than Tucker Carlson without being like a full blown Sieg Heil Nazi. And they've kinda backed themselves into a corner specifically tailoring their programming around psycho rural white people to the point where they can't go back to appearing to the moderate republicans like John McCain or Mitt Romney anymore.

The only person who could realistically take that spot and run with it is Ben Shapiro, but he's jewish and has his own successful platform so going to Fox would be a downgrade. Maybe Charlie Kirk.

The culture of Fox is notoriously insular. I would expect a promotion from within.

I don't believe so, but it could definitely be an effect of it. Supposedly, shareholders aren't happy about this situation, and Carlson was the loudest voice on the network spitting that dumb shyt. Probably got clapped as part of an assurance to reel the company in from the far right, and avoid stepping in more shyt when the 2024 cycle really heats up.
