He's 100% right. A 4080 alone is at a minimum $999. Add in CPU and all the other stuff and it's quite expensive but then again if you're cool with the cost of that go for it. I don't get people, it's not for broke bois. Are phone brehs like this?

Cats can and do trade in consoles for new versions of consoles in the same mechanics. THere's also credit cards and layway. So if you really want something, the options are there, just teh same.

GPU shelf life is shorter than that of console shelf life. So every 3-5 you have to purchase a new GPU to keep pace, not to mention every 5-8 you need to purchase a new CPU to maintain true parity with that GPU.

Just buy a gaming PC is a nonsensical answer for someone who isn't already an enthusiast or has use for a PC for things other than gaming.

The money you aren’t spending on subscription fees to play online can be used towards a new GPU
