You're referring to Terrelle Pryor. It wasn't the exact same situation. NCAA suspended him 5 games. He told Tressel that he was coming back to school, but he dropped out and declared for the supplemental draft. The NFL upheld the 5 game suspension because they felt he was trying to 'circumvent' punishment
