Pac was outspoken and despite his flaws, it seems like most of the time he always spoke from the heart. You wouldn't think it would be controversial to speak out on police brutality or at the least, question the narrative but that's what it is these days. If Young Thug doesn't want to comment on it that's his business, but to follow it up by mentioning jewelry and money...that implies to me personal wealth over community.

I think it's possible though that a lot of these rappers stay quiet now because 1) albums don't sell like they used to and they have to rely more on touring, endorsements and sponsorships, to make serious money and 2) with social media any comment you make will be blown up and taken the wrong way by multiple groups. Not saying it excuses it though.
