very true, but I'd assume Turkey and Russia would not be at odds like this. Turkey (in my opinion) is forced or willingly working with ISIS.

Turkey has been pissed at Russia for a minute.

Turkey has a huge lobby in the US government as well.
- Good autobiography on whistleblower Sibel Edmonds. She was a former Translator who investigated the wrong kind of documents and paper trail led to some of these Turk lobbies and potential coverups.

I doubt we will not support Turkey in this predicament

In 2012, Ankara accused Syria of shooting down a Turkish F-4 Phantom. That plane crash-landed in the Mediterranean after veering into Syrian airspace. In response, an outraged Erdogan lambasted the Syrian military for acting in haste.

"A short-term border violation can never be a pretext for an attack," he told Parliament at the time.

If America and other NATO countries are smart they'll stay out of this and let Turkey deal with its own mess...
That's not how this works. See, how this works is Russia tried to flex on the Turks and got straightened out. Turkey is no pushover. They have powerful friends.

Russia isn't going to do anything to the Turks. They can't. Putin had his card pulled and now he looks like the gasbag he is. The Turks do not fear him at all.
