It wouldn't shock me one bit if it was true...Like I said in another thread, we never had any allies in that region...What we have are business relationships...

Moscow won't retaliate. They know exactly that NATO would love it if they did.
Here's what I think they'll do.
1) "Technical problems" cutting off natural gas to Turkey. 60% of Turkey's natural gas is imported from...Russia.
2) Spetznaz on delicate missions cracking "rebel" Turkey-paid/weaponized Turkmen, Uzbek, Uyghurs
3) A de facto no-fly zone along the Syrian border with Russian fighters ready to shoot down any Turk intruder at the slightest "mistake".
4) "Discreet" weaponizing of the PKK enabling them to raise appropriate hell all over Anatolia.
