I have qualms about Erdogan's autocratic stances vs. the press and his son profiting off ISIS oil, killing Kurds after having peace talks, false flag attacks, etc

But I'll be :blessed: with this masjid, basketball courts, Turkish baths, olympic sized pools within a 10 minute drive of my crib.

I also give credit to his Somalia policy :blessed:

Of course you would be on his dikk hes somalias daddy

Much better to have the Turks providing health aid, education opportunities, and business partnerships rather than the UN's expired food rations. Next up, get some Chinese to come and rebuild the infrastructure to 21st century levels. The Chinese under Mao built Somalia's major highway, national theater, and other things in the 1970s.

Solid did Turkey pay for it.

Yeah, the Turkish Government paid $110 Million to build the whole campus. They started building in May 2013, unofficially opened the center in July 2015, and now is at 100% completion today. Didn't even take 3 years.

The back story is that in the 1990s, there was a group of Turks here in Maryland working at NASA Goddard or at University of Maryland and they wanted a communal place to pray and be a home for the local diaspora community. So they bought the property in 1993 which is a 10.7 acre wooded area in Lanham from the Salvation Army for $302,000. Later they would purchase another six acres, spending nearly $1 million for the land.

This is how it looked like in 2009:
