And the difference is, they can't protect themselves thoroughly right now, but when my kids are off to college, they will have a gun and have it on them at all times like I have since my freshman year of college. You can't buy a handgun until you are 21, but my father bought me one at 18, just like I will do for my kids for situations like this. I respect laws, but when it comes to safety I've learned that sometimes laws must be broken
