TV shows that fell off, then made a comeback

I'm just thinking about how most of the time, when a show's peaked and it starts having more bad episodes, it just gets worse from there and the quality never goes back to what it used to be. At that point, everyone's just waiting for the show to end.

But are there any shows that fell off and were able to get back on track? Even if it didn't last, what shows at least tried to make a comeback?

I think both got canceled and then were revived. King of the Hill came back to Fox and Futurama went to comedy Central.

Vampire diaries never got as bad as true blood, but once Nina Dobrev left, it got better but then it got wack again because Candice King aint a lead, should have went with Kat Graham
