Is there a reason why people have moved to using soundbars now days as opposed to receiver controlled surround sound systems
i have my 8 yrs old surround sound system on a 50 inch in the basement. upstairs i have a 65in samsung that has shytty sound depending on the input (yesterday we had it on 100 for a comcast hbo show)
i'm going get something soon just wondering if soundbars have some advantage (is it just aesthetics?)
I use both but a receiver/speaker setup is is way better
Soundbars are good for saving space and they're less expensive
Receivers are also loud as fukk.I couldn't imagine having surround systems in all 3 bedrooms upstairs in my house
I got a 7.1 setup in my mancave/basement but soundbars in my bedroom and my kids rooms
Soundbars are perfect for bedrooms IMO
surround systems are perfect for living room/basement/mancave setups
