Home Page - Television Tropes & Idioms

I remember the first time I went to that site last winter ... I basically wasted the whole day on there just looking around at things. Now I go there regularly, and when I go, I know I'm going to spend a couple couple of hours going through the different tropes. Still hasn't gotten old. It breaks down pretty much every form of media - TV, comic books, movies, video games - and tells you what's going on in each of them.

Has anyone else spent too much time on there?

the bad thing about the site is it really only defines things by using other things which causes a tangled web of definitions. you have to read all these different pages to figure out what's going on in the first one and you forget what page you were on very quickly.

then yes. TVTropes will ruin your fukking life.

Hell, you'll start defining even real life events by tropes, people will fit into tropes (even if it's just D&D Alignment terms)....

You'll be able to see plot development a mile away. Movies will be ruined by your viewing the commercials and trailers.

TVTropes is the God/Satan site.
