This is true. I tell my loved ones this. We live in Atlanta, and a lot of people from here only travel to big cities. So people say the south is a safe haven for black people don’t think of the other 99% of rural south . People really don’t be knowing when they don’t travel outside they zone . I’ve traveled through basically every state in the south and you are always uncomfortable unless you are in a major black city, where you actually have black cops and legislation. And the poverty is on another level when you see people come out of abandoned buildings that look like slave shacks that they have to live in (especially the gulf are) Atlanta got racist shyt too. But many in the government and legal administrations look like you . If people not coming to Atlanta, maybe Savannah and Augusta. Shouldn’t travel to Georgia. Not about being scared. It’s being smart. Even a gas station can be a huge threat . Gotta pick where you stop outside metro Atlanta. Everywhere in metro not for us either
