Because life is becoming a spectator sport. You'd be surprised at the amount of people who would rather spend money to watch somebody else do something that they want to do other than do it themselves.

Only the top 0.01% of people get more than 50 viewers. And there's 8 million Twitch streamers per month

What's surprising is that, people with "only" 500 viewers can still make decent $$$$ with a good community. Way better than working a crappy job

It's not black peoples' fault. Black people on that platform but the platform gives no service to them. the highest grass roots black streamer maybe get 500 people watching on a good day, when they get placed front page, 3/10x as much access.
