Aside from this and sponsorships, game companies also do payola style shyt for new releases. If you a new big game drops and you see everyone on twitch playing its not just because it's the new shyt, most of those streamers got paid. EA, Activision etc will pay you five figures to play new Call of Duty or Battlefield everyday that first week if you have a solid following.
