Black men have male privilege. I don't understand why they don't just call it male privilege, why call it Black Male Privilege? Black men only have privilege over Black women. There's no privilege that black males enjoy that men of other races don't. Black Male privilege is simply male privilege over Black women. Not over women of any other race. There's no trophies for being Male AND Black. Only trophies for being Male.

I agree with you that a lot of black women are victimised by black men. However, I've realised this to be an indirect result of White supremacy- the white man emasculates the black man, who takes out his anger on the black woman. Therefore, the only way for us to combat these issues is to take out the cause first- cut the snake by its head, if you will. Essentially, we must raise our sons to feel like men, give them proper responsibility, a sense of worthiness etc. I feel that by helping to do this (along with black men),instead of contesting to see who is the most victimised, black women will be able to help both black men and women's issues- killing two birds with one stone.

Agreed, this is why I say that at times, I'll have a benefit from being a male and at times you'll benefit from being female. To think otherwise is foolish. Is there a double standard when it comes to sex? Yes, and it's not fair. However, look how many feminists lost their minds when Ludacris got custody of his kid. All of a sudden, all the feminists became traditionalists overnight.

I feel that in order for EVERYONE to succeed, we have to understand this. When it comes to privilege, there are times when the women get the dirty end of the stick and there are times when men get it. We can't change our tune when traditionalism benefits us.

unless you think that black women between the ages of 22-30 with no kids are exceptional

also, in regards to the person who I was responding to in the first place and her erroneous statement(that's really already been addressed in this post) her claim that black men are still making more money on the dollar even though there's more black women graduating from college can be explained easily.(which also has been done already but I'll reiterate it for argument's sake)

more black men have blue collar jobs, and the overwhelming majority of the time a blue collar job, or trade, is going to pay more than a job obtained with a non-STEM college degree. and that also holds true a lot of the time even for people with degrees in STEM fields, they make less than their blue collar counterparts.


and while it's true that a degree ostensibly is supposed to lead to a white collar job, fact of the matter is your average prison guard is making more than your average college professor.
