Yes. Black men have the privilege of being public enemy #1 in amerikkka.

Funny how whenever anybody talking that nonsense is pressed for examples, you get shyt like "the privilege to not raise your kids" and all kinds of other racist talking points/stereotypes.
I hear folks say that shyt and it's just bullshyt. There are a number of people in prison for not paying child support. Look at DMX and Scarface, what privilege did they have? What about when women have to pay child support, look how everyone screams foul. If we're for equality, folks should say it's okay for a woman to pay child support.

It seems you have no idea what privilege means, at least read a Sociology book before you try to pontificate to the circlejerk masses that make up the Coli.

This answer is incredibly simple, yet these fake Hotep pseudo-intellectual c00ns who don't even have the most basic understanding of how power relationships work in the US will someone manage to fukk it up.
Black men have male privilege. Not that hard to understand. They don't face sexualization, brutal assault and rape, gender and sex discrimination, the primary caregiver role, and about a dozen other things.
And before a moron says "b-b-bu-but Black women are counted as two minorities in hiring, and are hired over Black men in a few cases" how do a few cases a year constitute any aspect of a power relation?
Key word: they don't.

Oh, how I beg to differ.:beli:

This. It goes both ways, not to mention as a whole we all lose as a people with the gender war sh!t among Black people. The same way that I believe feminism is a white construct and needs to contained among them, I believe the same regarding gender wars. It's disturbing to see Black men and women being pitted against each other especially considering how much Black men are pitted against one another. Not to mention all the other elements of this society and system that entrap, stymie, and kill Black people.
This is why I don't like these types of topics. Folks talk a good game however, there are no feminists on the Titanic. When there's a bump in the night, there is no feminists. Don't get me wrong women do get discrimination however, it's not the case that everything is against them. Some types they benefit from things and men don't.

Male privilege doesn't work for black males at all because we're still black. We're still underpaid, overlooked, and live with a justice system that is pretty much designed to protect our killers and keep as locked up.

I wonder if anybody would walk up to a black slave boy working in the fields all day, uneducated, scars on his back, and separated from his family and say "at least you aren't a woman "

However, it is important to understand that black women have it just as rough and face discrimination in different ways than we do.
I can buy that, just like black men face discrimination in different ways as well. I just hate to see black people trying to see who's the biggest victim is, it's counterproductive.

that's exactly what he shouldn't do, unless you also suggest he reads the dissenting theories as well.

stop treating half-baked social theory that was concocted less than 60 years ago as fact.
One of the key elements of something being a science is that any idea can be proven to be completely wrong tomorrow, you nikkas look at certain social theories as a religion rather than a science.

Why sociology is not a science
5 Objections against Sociology being called a Science (1883 Words)

And there is nothing wrong with having a religion but don't hide behind the veil of pretending to be skeptics and rationalist, claiming everybody that doesn't agree with your views is an uneducated savage.

ol' "liberal white massa told me this is the correct way to think" ass nikkas

At the beginning of mean streets
Any "privilege" that black men have comes with being a male, but I feel our blackness counterbalances that "privilege." :yeshrug:

That's all there is to it.

And that male privilege would come with actually having our own institutions of control, which unfortunately we do not, as a whole. Thus, there is no privilege to speak of.

Key word: they don't.
- black males are fetishsized, we're often seen a brute walking dildos
- no other group is assaulted or killed as much as black men
- black men do face rape, although not comparable to women
- black men definitely suffer from discrimination based on sex
- black women being automatically (and often undeserving) being given the care giver role is a plus for "black female privilege"

please, list your dozen other bullshyt reasons

The 215
Tell me about it, folks are damn sure for traditionalism when they benefit. Both men and women
Exactly if you check my post in here that's all I've been in here saying. I don't see woman as a group telling other woman about their "privilege" when they have them so why folks trying to strong arm us on this? That's my problem with cats they aren't consistent in general. If your consistent even if I disagree I can rock with your consistency but when you're not though FOH lol.
