Exactly if you check my post in here that's all I've been in here saying. I don't see woman as a group telling other woman about their "privilege" when they have them so why folks trying to strong arm us on this? That's my problem with cats they aren't consistent in general. If your consistent even if I disagree I can rock with your consistency but when you're not though FOH lol.
There you go, that's it, that's what I'm talking about. I can disagree all day with someone, just be consistent. If you can't be consistent, I can't respect your point of view and honestly, I may not respect you. And I see both men and women do this.

here's an entire list.

https://www.deanza.edu/faculty/lewisjulie/The Black Male Privilege Checklist.pdf

the first 10/94.
  1. I don't have to choose my race over my sex in political matters.
  2. When I read African American History textbooks, I will learn mainly about black men.
  3. When I learn about the Civil Rights Movement & the Black Power Movements, most of the leaders that I will learn about will be black men.
  4. I can rely on the fact that in the near 100-year history of national civil rights organizations such as the NAACP and the Urban League, virtually all of the executive directors have been male.
  5. I will be taken more seriously as a political leader than black women.
  6. Despite the substantial role that black women played in the Civil Rights Movement and Black Power Movement, currently there is no black female that is considered a "race leader".
  7. I can live my life without ever having read black feminist authors, or knowing about black women's history, or black women's issues.
  8. I can be a part of a black liberation organization like the Black Panther Party where an "out" rapist Eldridge Cleaver can assume leadership position.
  9. I will make more money than black women at equal levels of education and occupation.
  10. Most of the national "opinion framers" in Black America including talk show hosts and politicians are men.

by the way...we need to stop pitting ourselves against eachother with these stupid arguments.
instead of focusing on what we need to do to improve it becomes a competition to see who is discriminated against and oppressed the most. sucka shyt
I agree that the whole gender war is counterproductive but I do think that it's important for black men to take a stand on this issue. This belief in the myth that black women have it worse is part of the cause of the gender war. The belief in the idea that black women have it worse is fairly new because you couldn't have said that 20-25 years ago and be taken seriously. This lie started in the 70s and has gradually picked up steam with the help of black feminism and liberal leftism. A lot of black women and men are miseducated on this issue in college.

We're at the bottom of the totem pole as far as that goes. Being a man doesn't mean shyt as far as privilege goes, not anymore.

Black male privilege is the ability to dismiss black women's issues and to not be affected by doing so. People get so hung up on the word "privilege." BMP is a unique experience that ONLY black men have IN RELATION to black women in this white supremacist patriarchal society.

- black males are fetishsized, we're often seen a brute walking dildos
- no other group is assaulted or killed as much as black men
- black men do face rape, although not comparable to women
- black men definitely suffer from discrimination based on sex
- black women being automatically (and often undeserving) being given the care giver role is a plus for "black female privilege"

please, list your dozen other bullshyt reasons
What?!
The fetishization of Black men by White women? It doesn't even fully translate into media. And does the fetishization increase trafficking of Black males? Increase in sexual assault (from outside groups?) Being seen as a "walking dildo" doesn't actually translate into the physical consequences of the sexualization that Black women face. Or Latino women. Or Asian women.
Where are you getting the ridiculous idea that no group is assaulted or killed as much as Black men? And who do you think is assaulting Black women? I'll give you a hint: they're male, and they're Black.
All men face rape, Black men are not any more likely, at least from outside groups.
Where do Black men suffer from sex discrimination?
And that's not "Black female privilege" that's being burdened by a fractured traditional family system.
