It seems you have no idea what privilege means, at least read a Sociology book before you try to pontificate to the circlejerk masses that make up the Coli.

Exactly. Privilege in this context doesn't mean what they think it means, and it's causing all this arguing for nothing.


Words can have different meanings, and the context is everything

The word pool could mean a game, a large body of water, or a selection of people. Without defining which way I am using the word, arguing about it is pointless.


That being said: Yes, black men. You have male privilege. FULL STOP.

Even President Obama would admit it, and has in the past. Watching you squirm around in denial about it is almost as painful as watching white people do it.


Once you understand the context and the way the word is being used, I don't think you will be so defensive about it.

It's really not an attack, just an acknowledgement of the larger patriarchal society within which you live.

Edit: Even if you don't get it now, best believe you WILL get it when you have a daughter of your own. All of a sudden it will become crystal clear.

The fetishization of Black men by White women? It doesn't even fully translate into media. And does the fetishization increase trafficking of Black males? Increase in sexual assault (from outside groups?) Being seen as a "walking dildo" doesn't actually translate into the physical consequences of the sexualization that Black women face. Or Latino women. Or Asian women.
Where are you getting the ridiculous idea that no group is assaulted or killed as much as Black men? And who do you think is assaulting Black women? I'll give you a hint: they're male, and they're Black.
All men face rape, Black men are not any more likely, at least from outside groups.
Where do Black men suffer from sex discrimination?
And that's not "Black female privilege" that's being burdened by a fractured traditional family system.

black female privilege is ignoring that women aren't seen as a threat based on their sex, where as men are often targeted because of their gender.

Male privilege doesn't work for black males at all because we're still black. We're still underpaid, overlooked, and live with a justice system that is pretty much designed to protect our killers and keep as locked up.

I wonder if anybody would walk up to a black slave boy working in the fields all day, uneducated, scars on his back, and separated from his family and say "at least you aren't a woman "

Considering he wasn't brutally raped by his master and forced to carry the product of that assault... I would think so.
Also, this is entirely irrelevant, there were explicit advantages to being a male in a chattel slave system, but Black men aren't enslaved in America today (no matter how much these whiny twats on this website will make their 9-5 sound like it), and the power system is radically different.

The argument seems to boil down to "you're a male and makes are privileged over women" when the flaws to that simpleminded argument are obvious.

But like I said looking for examples of black female privilege is a sin amongst blacks, and due majority of the black academics being staunch liberals nobody would ever look into that subject.

good post, the crazy thing is there are probably all types of things black women have advantages over black men in, but we'll never know until somebody put them under the microscope

i would wager to say black women are more privileged in most areas over black men. once again, who is seen as a threat in america? the black women or black man? at most, black women are viewed as an annoyance. black men are viewed (and treated) as someone that has to be met with violence.
